You've always wanted to write that award-winning script or article, but how do you get started?
You may have an idea, but you're just looking for the right words to give it life. You might have a plan, but just need the motivation or time to get it all written down. This workshop is designed for writers of at all skill levels, from all backgrounds, at any stage in their profession, to create a spark and begin their writing career.
The workshop will begin by discussing a selection of short stories that will be distributed via email before the workshop. Writers are encouraged to use the prompt given to get ideas flowing, followed group brainstorm and writing time. We will will put our heads together to share, and workshop pieces as a group. We will then discuss how to get your pieces into online zines or published.
This workshop will be facilitated by Desi Schuman.
About the facilitator:
Desi Schuman has taught academic and creative writing in colleges, schools, and nonprofits throughout the Lake Worth area. He received his MFA in Fiction from the University of Florida and now lives in Lake Worth, where he is teaching and revising a couple of novels.
